The contemporary taste of the Swedish duo Front meets for the first time the production skills of Frigerio, giving life to a proposal built on a delicate balance of volumes thanks to the Frigerio tailoring manufacturing. The armchair Mayu represents the culmination of a long creative and manufacturing process which led to the creation of a special mould that respected the designers’ creative idea while preserving the comfort and the ergonomics of the seat. The armchair Mayu has a high monobloc structure for the seat and back covered in polyurethane foam, by having an impressive touch to the living or night area, and it is available in fabric or leather on in the variant with the external part of the backrest in leather and the inner part in fabric.

Frigerio presents the Flow Collection in an artistic context designed in 1981 by Oscar Niemeyer: the former headquarters of Cartiere Burgo, in province of Turin, highly recognizable over time for its innovative style and futuristic aesthetics. In this unique setting Frigerio has presented the Flow Collection, a narrative progression of different styles and different proposals designed by famous architects with the leitmotif of the Frigerio production: Ferruccio Laviani, Federica Biasi, Gabriele and Oscar Buratti, Front and Riccardo Frigerio. In the ring-shaped floor plan of Cartiere Burgo by Oscar Niemeyer, between real and illusory spaces, the designers Ferruccio Laviani, Federica Biasi, Gabriele and Oscar Buratti, Front and Riccardo Frigerio presented the new Flow Collection for Frigerio for a contemporary living under the sign of colour and lightness. The Swedish duo Front worked with material to transcend its form by designing the iconic armchair Mayu and the Helix pouf, result of the technical mastery of Frigerio tailoring capability.
DESCRIPTION
Structure and seat: monobloc padded with non-deformable polyurethane foam covered with doubled protective fabric.
Cover: fix, available in fabric, leather, or combination fabric and leather.
Piping: same material and colour as the cover. On request in contrast exclusively in Grosgrain.
As for the style, also the colour is a representation of a trip in space and time. The light tones are ideal to create wider and brighter environments, for a timeless style. The harmony of the elements creates an atmosphere highly refined and expresses lightness also in the contrast with different materials. Fabric, leather, hide, wood and marble, all in their different shades and intensity of colours play in a game of a mutual switch off and on, by enhancing and matching to each other with sensational material’s contrasts. The different chromatic combinations highlight the personal taste reflected into a contemporary time, always more and more eclectic, contaminated and in the search of a bespoken elegance. The moodboard Light Harmony provides solution in natural shades from beige to turtle colour or proposes solutions with a touch of green, which recalls the energy of the nature for a relaxing and vital environment. Chromatic tonalities which match traditional solutions such as neutral colours like white and grey and the many shades of wood.
The roots of history, the evergreen, the charm of precious objects, the feeling of untarnished craftsmanship. A warm colour, enveloping and versatile, which is able to provide thousands of shades: the tonalities of brown fit different styles and environments. Ideal for who is looking for calmness and warmth inside the house, it is a colour which transmits serenity and recalls the solidness of wood. Being the colour of the earth, it is immediately associated to the nature, for it transmits stability, calmness and protection. Brown and its shades are peculiar colours especially used for relax areas, adapted to every environment and could be mixed and match in a harmonious way of different colours. Nevertheless these earthly colours match perfectly the shades of yellow, a colour which lights up: few clever elements in an environment are enough to create a sunny and energetic effect. From the more vibrant shades to the more neutral ones, which remind more to the colour of the sand.
