Gabriele and Oscar Buratti conceived for Frigerio the small armchair chair Hug with its minimalistic yet incisive aesthetics: ironic and recognizable, the small armchair embraces and envelops thanks to the characteristic structure composed of a backrest and armrest that frame the seat thus creating continuity between each element. Hug is a small armchair chair for the dining area in fabric or leather which reinterprets in a contemporary key the classical seat of a “tub” armchair. The armrests of the dining small armchair hug, which descend with respect to the seat and the peculiar downward curve of the backrest are the out-of-the-ordinary element that is identified by its welcoming shapes and strong character.

Frigerio presents the Flow Collection in an artistic context designed in 1981 by Oscar Niemeyer: the former headquarters of Cartiere Burgo, in province of Turin, highly recognizable over time for its innovative style and futuristic aesthetics. In this unique setting Frigerio has presented the Flow Collection, a narrative progression of different styles and different proposals designed by famous architects with the leitmotif of the Frigerio production: Ferruccio Laviani, Federica Biasi, Gabriele and Oscar Buratti, Front and Riccardo Frigerio. In the ring-shaped floor plan of Cartiere Burgo by Oscar Niemeyer, between real and illusory spaces, the designers Ferruccio Laviani, Federica Biasi, Gabriele and Oscar Buratti, Front and Riccardo Frigerio presented the new Flow Collection for Frigerio for a contemporary living under the sign of colour and lightness. Gabriele and Oscar Buratti designed the Elly table featuring legs formed by columns shaped elements fused together highlighted by bright full coloured lacquered glossy finishes together with the comfortable armchair Hug.
DESCRIPTION
Structure: plywood padded with non-deformable polyurethane foam covered with doubled protective fabric.
Seat: non-deformable polyurethane foam.
Base: metal Burnished colour. On demand metal Black Sablé colour, metal Sand Sablé colour, metal Greige Sablé colour or metal Titanium colour.
Cover: in fabric or in leather both fixed.
A thin dark precious line, rich and mysterious for a refined word yet overwhelming, by evoking strong emotions. A tonality needed to grant deepness and contrast. The dark colours play on contrasts and at the same time they integrated into the surrounding space. The dark tonalities have strong personality, by giving a sophisticated and essential look, by enveloping and by giving deepness, thus enhancing the furniture and its complements. The dark shades of the “Thin dark lines” moodboards’ are added to an environment to create an elegant and contemporary style, where metal details and sofas covered in fabric or leather would not be missed. It is possible to change completely a room by changing colour with a defined and strong style, with courageous yet always successful choices.

Being the colour of the earth, it is immediately associated to the nature, for it transmits stability, calmness and protection. Brown and its shades are peculiar colours especially used for relax areas, adapted to every environment and could be mixed and match in a harmonious way of different colours. Nevertheless these earthly colours match perfectly the shades of yellow, a colour which lights up: few clever elements in an environment are enough to create a sunny and energetic effect. From the more vibrant shades to the more neutral ones, which remind more to the colour of the sand.
